Should I use Latisse, is it safe?

These are my lashes with 6 weeks of latisse. I have definitely seen a difference. I can't imagine if I used until week 16, how long they would be! My only complaint, and I'm being picky, is that some lashes grow faster than others. So you can see how my lashes look thicker is more areas and I have a few really long ones. I'm hoping if I stick with it, they will eventually look full and mostly the same length.
Safety concerns with Latisse. If you have sensitive eyes, you need to be careful when using Latisse. The product instructions say to use it every night. I have found that I can use it every 3rd night and still get great results. This will help prevent eye irritation a lot! Make sure you apply it to your lash line right before you go to bed. You need to close your eyes right after you apply it.  You want to close them after applying it. If you put it on and then read for an hour, your eyes may get red and you have a better chance of it getting in your eyes.

Latisse, isn't cheap! It's about $120 if your insurance doesn't cover it. I used Latisse last summer and used the same bottle for almost 3 months. I used it every 3rd night. This will save you money because they recommend buying it once a month.

As far as pigment change. I haven't noticed any pigment change in my eye color at all. Every physician is compelled to warn patients about this because it could change the color of your iris. Usually this only will happen if you are putting drops of it into your eye.

I also love the eye lash extensions! They look thick, long and perfectly shaped. A good alternative to Latisse if you want quick, long lashes without having to wear mascara.

This is my beautiful friend Erica. Her eyes are stunning and she loves her extensions.
let me know if you want a set of these beautiful lashes!

I used eyelash extensions for alomst a year and then when I removed them all I had no eyelashes left. they were these short stubby things. It was terrible, I cried but they got back to normal a few months later.

And theres no latisse in canada:(

Hi Jenna! Love your blog. Seriously love! Have you heard of Careprost? It's the generic Latisse and I just got it. I know people who have used both and say they can't tell a difference. AND it's only like 10 bucks and doesn't require a prescription! Thought I'd let you know : )

Hi Jenna! I was going to tell you the same thing as Sarah. Careprost at alldaychemist.com. It's $10 but the shipping is $25. That's the rub. Find some friends and make a big purchase and split the shipping. I love love LOVE the stuff. It's originally a glaucoma medicine that people put in their eyes. Long lucious lashes on cute old men was the side effect:). I give it to all my friend for birthdays. We are hooked! Love your blog!

I use Latisse and have for almost a year now. My big tip is to buy a tiny eyeliner brush at Sephora to use instead of the brushes Latisse comes with. The tiny brush soaks up way less liquid, thus you use/waste less. I use mine about 4 times a week and a bottle lasts at least 4-5 months for me. I love it!

hey! I have to chime in..I work for a dr (Im an aesthetician) and we sell Latisse. I have used it for about 3 years now. Its great! I have NEVER had anyone with bad reactions (except for my client that went to Mexico and bought it). The company has said no one has had discoloration of pupils but that they had to put it because someone did while on another medication (ugh.) and was using Latisse as well.
Anyways, LOVE it. And i put it on in the morning!
And last :)....your lashes will all even out. That is the "down side" of the starting of it..but in about a week they all are the same length.

Question for you bloggers. I have a hard time putting it on in the evening and find it much easier to put on before I put my make up on in the morning. Can anyone tell me if I'm wasting my time will it not work if I apply make up after the solution has dried.
